[ Omada Health raises $50M in Series D funding ]

Omada Health has raised $50 million in Series D funding led by Cigna, Sanofi-Genzyme BioVentures and Civilization Ventures.

Founded in 2011, Omada Health is a Silicon Valley startup that is bringing the best in design and web technology to health care delivery. Omada’s team is an interdisciplinary group of technologists, entrepreneurs and clinicians from Google, Amazon, IDEO, Harvard, Stanford and Columbia who are passionate about creating accessible technology to prevent disease.

Cigna is doing more than just investing in Omada. It is also expanding its commercial partnership with the San Francisco-based company such that the behavioral health technology will be made available to Cigna customers with prediabetes, as well as those at higher risk of chronic conditions such as heart disease and hypertension.
