Simplify Medical has raised $21 million in Series B funding.
Founded in 2013, Simplify Medical designs, develops, and manufactures cervical artificial discs for use in the spine. It offers an MRI compatible motion preserving artificial cervical disc that is used to treat single level symptomatic cervical disc disease.
The new funds will be used to complete two ongoing U.S. pivotal clinical trials of the Simplify Disc studying its use in one level of the spine and in two adjacent levels of the spine as a treatment for cervical degenerative disc disease.
